General rules for using the EDD CTU system

The system can be used by the emplyees, postgrads and other students of the CTU. The requests are settled in the above order.

Please use your school e-mail address (ends with cvut.cz) for registration otherwise your request will be denied.

Request filing

Requests settled from the documents owned by the Central library are provided free of charge.

Requests settled from the electronic journals (see Information resources), will be supplemented with the information about the jouranl online availability.

Requests settled from the Virtual polytechnical library (VPK) are charged according to the current price list. Central library covers all charges for the CTU internal users.

Other requests (journals not included in the VPK) are settled by using inter-library loans and international inter-library loans. The price of the international inter-library loans is CZK 80 for each 1-5 pages copy or CZK 400 for 1 article received from the British Library or from the overseas countries. Central library covers all charges for the CTU internal users.

New agreement

There are new rules in force as of 1. 2. 2009.

Libraries of the CTU are represented by the Virtual polytechnical library (VPK), please read its users rules. The service is paid - see the price list. For the time being the Central library covers all charges for the CTU internal users.

Every user of the service has to sign a new Rendition agreement. Three copies should be sent to the following address: Central library of the CTU, Technicka 6, Praha 6 - Dejvice, 16080.
